The sculptures from the never-ending Heads series result from experimental procedures in glass blowing into plaster molds, which the author, Ivan Pokorný, explores in his work. By having several glassblowers blow into a single mold, spaces of different sizes emerge within the sculptures. These spaces were colored either during the blowing process or through subsequent cold processing. Using color and deformation, I sought to express various character traits, all stemming from an identical form. To highlight significant character flaws, unconventional techniques were also used, such as pouring silicone or applying different methods of encapsulation and mummification.
